Barnstaple's new bridge opened today for walkers only! There was supposed to be this great pagent with marching bands, stalls etc, but I think the great British weather saw that one off. I nipped out today in a brief lull between bouts of torrential rain, just to take a few photos. There were actually quite a few people there! The bridge was supposed to open to traffic tomorrow, but the great British workmen have put paid to that. It won't be til 23rd May now!

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Everywhere you look in Barnstaple at the moment they are digging up. This was once a lovely grass covered roundabout, with beautiful trees and flowers. When they've finished it will paved and soulless.

That's if they ever do finish.

Of course there are still some nice things to look at. This tree thinks it spring already!

Introduction

There are many photos I take on my travels around North Devon that I would like to share with you. I don't always get the oportunity on my other blog http://northdevonyearbook.blogspot.com so I thought I would create this blog as a sort of accompaniment. Plus I've just treated myself to a new camera so I would like somewhere to show off my attempts at semi pro photography! Here are some of my fav photos of the last year (taken with old camera).
